The newest Payne

The doctor decided to induce Becky on Tuesday morning. Ken and I decided we would just go to work as normal and then if we only got there in time to hold our new niece, that was okay with us. We get to the hospital around 6:30 that evening and she is only 5cm! We spent the rest of the evening with the family. Talking and laughing with Becky. I got the pleasure of helping her while she was having a hard time with the contractions, her mom and Chris had her hands for her to squeeze the living daylights out of, and I had the ice chip and rubbing her forehead duty :) and I will gladly do it next time.

Mommy to be at that point was doing very well. You could tell she was in pain, but she was a real trooper. It was 11:30 before she reached 10cm... at this time she is ready to push! So everyone but the grandma's and daddy to be gets kicked out. But we only had to wait another 45 minutes until we heard the news... a BEAUTIFUL (like there was a possibility for anything else) baby girl, weighing in at 9 lbs!!! Ms. Analia Brook decided to be a St. Patty's Day baby!

Mommy, Daddy, and baby Analia are doing fabulous and are expected to go home tomorrow! We went to see her today and they had her dressed in a cute outfit. They say that the newborn clothes are already tight, and she is in 1's for diapers, skipped the newborns all together!
